My newest book, I hope you all enjoy it.

I had a personal issue with the story, but, that is a personal issue. Has no impact on it being a good or bad story.

The bit I did read was well written though. I’ll admit I didn’t get through very much of it but what I did read was well written.

The part I didn’t like, was while there was spacing of paragraphs, I felt there should have been a bit more space between the paragraphs to break them up a little bit more.

You're right.  Double-spaced writing is very hard to read, especially when "standard"-sized first-line indents are used on paragraphs.

I'd recommend either switching to single-spaced format (preferred), or increasing the indent on paragraphs by at least double.

This is, of course, up to the author to take care of.

(This is an issue that the new version of the site will remedy, as it will impose a standard format for stories.)

I would point out that nearly every published book is written in double spaced.  That's why I use it as you check nearly any publisher website and they all say double spaced documents.

Okay, let's do a test.

Go to your bookshelf.  Pick out a fiction book.  Open it.  If it is not printed double-spaced (that is, with enough room between each line of text to actually print another line of text), drop it to the floor and repeat the process.

By the time you are done, every fiction book you own will be on the floor.  There are no fiction books printed in double-line-spacing.  It is hard to read, and it would cost them twice as much to produce the book.

Yes, publishers require you to submit your manuscript in double-spacing.  Why?  Because it's a physical copy, and they want to have room to write shit between the lines of text.  It's done for the same reason your English teacher did it: for editing purposes.  (Even if you don't submit a physical copy, the likelihood is that they will print it out to do their editing/proofreading.  Many people find that they see errors more clearly on paper than on a computer screen. )

If this was a good practice for the end-user (ie, the reader), everyone on the Internet would be producing their webpages double-spaced.  As a style setting, it is ridiculously easy to do, and wouldn't cost anything, so there would be no reason to NOT do it.  No one does this, because it's very distracting, and makes it hard for your eyes to track position from one line to the next, especially if you have long lines of text.

Now, you can do whatever you like with the style settings of your own story: I honestly don't care.  But please don't try to tell me "everyone publishes them double-spaced."  The falsity of that is manifest.

Whoops! I didn’t mean to start something. I personally have never read a physically printed book in double spacing... except for a children’s book but that was for easier reading for the child... letters were also like 24 instead of 12, and only like 3-10 words a page.

Couldn’t begin to tell you. Never met her. I get texts from her for reminders about school activities and when to bring his backpack.(some times they just have fun days)

May I say my apologies to anyone who might speak Italian if the Italian in Chapter 10, and later in this book is not perfect.  I'm not an speaker of Italian so have had to use a translation program.  So blame them if it is not correct.

Bringing Mary into the scenario, then dropping the issue with her was highly disappointing. This gives adequate reason to continue the story with additional chapters where Heather introduces Mary to the videos and encourages her to experiment with Ed.

The book is not over, just finding it hard to focus on writing right now with other things taking precedence.  But the Mary situation is not over, and will effect the storyline.  Hopefully I will be able to refocus in the next few weeks on my writing.

One very hot and well written scene. So very descriptive.

Heather is becoming so much more manipulative and demanding. She is turning into a complete little Lolita. And I love her for it.

So this is the last chapter for this story.  I'm sorry that it's taken so long to finish.  Writing has been difficult over the last year.  And this chapter in particular has felt like pulling teeth to write.  At points I was simply staring at the screen not writing anything, or managing to get a few words down at a time.  As a result I've ended it a little shorter than I planned.  As there was supposed to be a final love scene between Ed and Heather.  I'm still not sure if the chapter needs it or not.  So for those who do read this, if you feel it needs the extra love scene please say and I'll do my best to add it on.
