Re: Potential

Skyscraper is wrong about publishing without completion, especially if you are charging for it. There must be an ending of sorts even if it is a cliffhanger ending. One needs to be satisfied with what is written to even think about buying the second book. I recently did purchase 2 books there.
I was pleasantly surprised not just with the quality of the writing but also the lack of spelling and grammatical errors. It was a delight. Will I continue, possibly, but I’m not made of money. My suggestion is for every author to find someone willing to read and correct their mistakes. This is why editors and publishers exist.

bistander, if you have taken the time to correct and publish, I commend you. Your “Neighbor’s Incest"  is one such story that I have read here more than once. And not knowing that you had published it elsewhere, I downloaded all chapters, corrected most of the errors I could find and then brought it into “calibre"  which helped me turn it into an epub which I can now read on my computers and tablet once I save it to Apple’s “Books" .

I look forward for your second book in that series. I am patiently waiting for a satisfying conclusion to Potential.

Re: Potential

What? You're not going to tell us how John dies? You're not going to paint the happy ending for all? That's messed up, man!

I think he is just pulling your leg a bit. I guess we have to be patient and hope he doesn’t abandon this site to permanently go income based.

bistander, I’m saddened to hear you altered “My neighbor’s Incest"  just to get it published. But I guess you do what you need to do. I think it has to alter the story too much and will not have the same impact to the reader.

Maybe, Eric can establish some kind of  “gift"  system for the authors to be compensated. Or maybe a link to Paypal with pre-established amount?

I just don’t want authors to leave, just to make a few bucks.

Re: Potential

I might not have been clear, but I was joking when I said completion isn't required

You're either born with common sense or you're not. I was not.

The problem with sarcasm in writing is you don’t get the inflection in someone’s speech so it is hard to tell one is joking. When my daughter and I throw these type of comments back and forth we usually end it with LOL. Lets us know it was not a serious comment.
