Iron Man - Full Tilt Gadget Porn

Greetings

Just read the Gizmodo review of Iron Man

The verdict?

126 Minutes of Gadget Porn

Lest we forget. That would be THIS Iron Man

So...

Who's going?

Enjoy the journey

Re: Iron Man - Full Tilt Gadget Porn

See it in the theater?  No.

See it when Netflix has it?  HELL YES.

The fact that the critics didn't like it is something I always see as a plus.

Greetings

Not all of the critics panned it.

Io9 loved it:  Robert Downey Jr.'s Exposed Torso Is America

Maybe when it's about robots and exoskeltons, only certain critics....

Re: Iron Man - Full Tilt Gadget Porn

I'm debating whether I should go see it tomorrow, like I was going to, or go see it on Tuesday with a girl that can't make tomorrow.

Hell, how about both? XD

Re: Iron Man - Full Tilt Gadget Porn

I just saw it myself, and enjoyed it very much. I was sitting there at 10 at night, having spent the ridiculous cost of $10 on a movie I wasn't expecting much from, when I realized that I was completely surrounded by nerds just like me. It was funny, and had some amazing cgi. All in all, I will rate it at an 8, but I may decide to change that later after I have time to rethink it.

Re: Iron Man - Full Tilt Gadget Porn

as a rule if its scifi and or based on a comic property it automaticly sucks in most critics opinions and most critics won't bother to check out the sorce material of such media to judge it corectly

Re: Iron Man - Full Tilt Gadget Porn

It would be easy to formulate apologies for this movie by trotting out what it could have been ("starring Tom Cruise", The Punisher). Easy but completely unnecessary.

It's well-built and fun with a spontaneity that belies the well-worn requirements of the genre, delivering all the industry feel-goods with none of the tiredness... like the agency's best escort... maybe I've said too much.

Iron Man is solid, no-pretense Hollywood escapism with no guilty aftertaste.

Re: Iron Man - Full Tilt Gadget Porn

Saw it yesterday (and immediately drew fanart... XD).  SO FUCKING WORTH IT!

And the after-credits bit was well worth the wait, too.  I actually started hyperventilating.
