Has anyone gotten a good look at one of the new rulebooks or actually played it?
IMHO it would mostly be helpful with online games:
It seems simplified and steamlined - lacking the extreme depth, details and versatility of v3.5.
Opinions anyone?

I have played and own it. To be honest it is a good system for roll playing and great for combat settings. It falls short for role playing.

Yup, that's what I thought.
It seems like the ideal system for new players and/or action packed campaigns. But, you want a game full of rollplaying and don't mind the more complex rules, I think 3.5 is best.
Plus I can't use my ranger/druid character.

I will say surges and letting healer classes kick some ass were good moves
bet some one make a 3.9 rule set merging the pros from both sets
my main complaint is that you know there gunna make a 4.5 in a year or less
