agreed. we all know Eric will eventually get ahead of his posting schedule, and after six+ years he deserves some really major breaks. we all want a GREAT story in the end, and only the impatient asses will bitch n moan about any delay... but then they tend to bitch n moan anyhoo...

that said, if Erik does take extra time, he should extend PRM access for donors by however many extra months it takes. NOT days, NOT weeks, but only whole months. As for non donors, they wont even notice anything less than a 6 month delay.

TL;DR

Take all the time you need Erik, we will be here when you're ready to post a new chapter that meets 'Your Standards of Quality', deadlines be damned.

They performed the surgery laparoscopically, which is the preferred method these days.  They only perform laparotomies when absolutely necessary.  But they still take it out "whole".  The different incisions are not for removing different pieces of it, they're for inserting different instruments.  Cutting my gall bladder into pieces inside of my body would have made a horrible mess to clean up, as it was full of dozens, if not hundreds, of tiny gallstones.  (As I said, I have a picture to prove that... the doctor wasn't just exaggerating.  It looks like damned caviar.)

Even having your comment explained, it makes no sense to me.  When would a sub call for a lynching?  Lynchings are done by angry mobs... generally against people who upset them.  (By, oh, say, suggesting a delay in the posting of a story they like...)  In any case, no one was calling for such things.  My comment was about disassociating myself from the possibility of such things in response to the comment that was made.  (It was also designed as sarcasm, in case that wasn't abundantly clear...)

BTW, because it has been mentioned concerning extending people's PRM access due to the late posting of WAY7-1:

I used a set of criteria based on the expiration date of special access and the last visit date of the member, and I found only two people who really deserved to have their PRM access extended.  I gave each of them an extra month, so they can read WAY7-1... and hopefully, if I get back on track, WAY7-2.  All other people who were affected either had not visited the site this year yet, or their PRM expired very early on Jan. 1st.
