After the update, I have been unable to access the stories or artwork on the site. I can get to the author list, but attempting to select an author causes either a blank pane to be displayed, if I single click an author, or a 500 error to be thrown, if I double click on the author's name. I have tested with Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Edge (shudder). I have loaded a brand new page to test with, and ensured that all browsers are up to date. I am able to navigate through other sites normally.

Uh Eric, you have a problem. I'm having the same problem as Kerensky. It loads the authors and artists, but when I click on a name.... NADA!!!!! Who I click on doesn't seem to matter.
*whines* I can't even get to my own stories.

Glad to see that this isnt an isolated issue with me, though it is rather frustrating. Im sure Sir Eric is working on fixing this conundrum and will have everything sorted out as soon as possible. still sucks though.

Okay, I appear to have the "can't see the stories" problem fixed.
Please let me know if more things creep up.
Why am I putting myself through this instead of just working on the new site faster? Because GoDaddy will not allow me to have two different versions of PHP in operation for different domain names (I have a special domain for building the new site.) In order to build that one using PHP7, I have to convert this one to PHP7. Thus, the headache. And after the week I've had already... urgh.

I fixed one other problem I noticed... if anything else is amiss, please speak up, so I can smack you soundly with a rotten fish...

The Latest News Item, apparently was posted at Unix epoch time. - top of the page http://www.wolfpub.org/main.php
and the following isn't new and I've been meaning to mention it, but all users (ok I can see it so i'm assuming) can see the diagnostic script runtimes; you might want to consider tweaking that so only admin see it.
"Script took 0.097728967666626 seconds to run..."
Offline
The script run times have been there for sometime now. As for myself I like seeing how many and how long it takes for the scripts to run. A lot of the sites that I go to will have a page load time script.
Page Load Time: 1.025 sec.
So unless it is troublesome for users to see the script run times I am cool with how it is now.

Both of you are active enough, you SHOULD KNOW what those timings are about. They were there to allow the users to aid in some troubleshooting of the website. They haven't been necessary since the server upgrade, but I've had better things to do than remove them.
As to the other issue, I'll look into it.

Update:
The news article's date has been fixed, thanks for pointing it out.
Also fixed is the fact that the news article on the front page was BLANK... o.O

blank page. ha. didn't actually notice that.

Minor annoyance? It logged me out and I didn't notice it! That's why I though everything was quiet around here. Darn it!

Nothing I did should have had any effect on whether or not you were logged in. Sure you didn't clear your cookies?

A problem with the site search has been fixed. A user reported that he couldn't get any results past page 1. This appears to have been a problem introduced by the recent update, since I can't imagine it's been like that very long without me getting a lot more complaints... In any case, search results are now available beyond the first page.

Very sure. I haven't on this tablet since I got it.

And is it still randomly logging you out?

I was trying to remember what everyone looked like in the WAY story, but none of the images work, all I get is the broken link box

Well, that tells me how AMAZINGLY popular my artwork is... that's been broken for weeks and no one said anything...
It is now fixed. It was caused by the update I did back in August to prepare for the switch to PHP7.
Thanks for letting me know.

Yeah yeah, I tried it back a month or so ago, but then things went to shit in FL. so I didn't say anything....as it really wasn't a time sensitive issue for me.....thanks for getting it fixed though, now I can remember what everyone looks like

So I was going to look at the calendar to refresh my memory of the past few chapters, and I'm not able to see past June. I can click on the hyperlinks at the top and it changes the purge url to the new month, but not what is actually displayed. Tried I both kindle fire and Android phone using chrome.

You didn't say with which story.

I suspect it's WAY7. June is open to the public per today, July and following chapters are PRM.
Offline
And if that is, indeed, the problem, I would suggest that:
1) he is not logged in,
-or-
2) his PRM access has expired.
Having checked, I rule out #2. So most likely he wasn't logged in. I have checked WAY7 already, and have no trouble going through all six chapters that are posted, so...
Something else that confuses me is that he says he clicked "The hyperlinks at the top". ... ... ... There are no hyperlinks at the top of story pages; story navigation occurs on the left side of the page. Unless he is using the mobile version of the site (which I never recommend), but even then, it's not really a "hyperlink"... it's still a flippin' arrow. (Okay, triangle. Work with me, here!)
