Corvis

Hello, all.

My pen name is Corvis, and proving that I will very likely be late to my own funeral, I'm only now getting around to writing this message.

I've always enjoyed reading and writing and I'm happy for a chance to share this hobby with others. I tend to write fantasy, and I hope you will enjoy my work.

Hello, all.

I'm sorry to have been absent for so long.  Difficulties too numerous to list have kept me away and stifled my creative spark.  I am trying to get it going again and I think you all for your kind words and patience.

Yours,

Corvis.

It's always great to hear one of the writers here is planning to return to their talent. I for one have truely enjoyed a number of your stories and am anticipating more of your writing. I am looking forward to some new chapters to the excellent works you have in progress, or, if inspiration takes you that way, to any new projects that may find their way onto your screen. Either way I believe it will be well worth reading.

Good luck Corvis.

Same here. I know most readers are leeches who can only absorb the material without being able to add any critical analysis nor helpful/well written comments. I claim to be a leech, but I know what I like, and I like your stories! (especially the story with runes)

Is he still okay?  I don't know.  I lost contact with him completely a long time ago, when he left the Internet for... reasons.

Does he continue to write?  I doubt it.

Corvis is one of a growing group of people who used to be very good friends of mine, and who just vanished from my life with no explanation given.  Sadly, this also means that you all don't get to see his stories finished.

Make a Donation

Please Help.

Donation Chart
Monthly Donations Target: $700
Received So Far This Month: $10
Received Last Month: $166

Please Note: A $6 minimum donation is required before special access is given as a thank-you gift.
(For more information, please click here.)

If you cannot, or do not wish to, use PayPal, but you still want to make a donation, you can use one of the methods below:

Why Donate?

You may be wondering why you should bother donating to some guy on the internet that you don't know.

I'm not going to lie: I don't really need donations to keep the site running. The site costs me less than $20 a month. Though donation money does go to pay those bills, the primary need is elsewhere.

I am disabled, and live on a fixed income. I also own an old house that is beginning to have "issues". The appliances inside the home also seem to want to break frequently.

On top of that, I live in a place prone to hurricanes, which not only means worrying about the house falling down every summer, I have to worry about being able to handle evacuations and things like that.

The point is, the donations aren't for the site. They're to keep me fed, clothed, and housed, and also allow me a little bit of discretionary spending, instead of having to watch every dime to make sure I don't go over budget that month.

So What Do I Get for Donating?

Not a goddamned thing. Let me be crystal clear: Making a donation does not entitle you to anything at all. Donations are a gift, not a payment for a service or product.

That being said, I do like to say thank you to those who support me. I usually do that by granting special access to the website. What does "special access" mean? Well, not a whole lot, but it means you have extra file formats to download stories in, and it also gives you access to "PRM" content.

What is PRM content? PRM stands for "Pre-Release Material". It is stuff that you are allowed to read before it goes public. How long before it goes public is up to each author that chooses to participate in the PRM system.

In conclusion, if you want to help keep me funded and happy, please make a donation by your preferred method of those listed above.

And thank you in advance.
