For the first decade and a half of my life, I spent a lot of time in my own head. I wasn't necessarily escaping anything, it was simply the way I was, and I was mostly happy with that. If I had ideas, I had the time to dream them, to live them in my head, and then to write them. Then adulthood came knocking, and I found myself with a wife, a job... a life. Shortly after I had kids of my own. Real life commitments. The sort of things that make you spend most of your day in the real world.

That doesn't mean I've stopped thinking. The ideas still come, and they still need an outlet. If I'm not writing I'm drawing, and if I'm not drawing I'm making something. Either my eyes or my mind or my hands are busy. I don't write as often as I'd like to nowadays, but the fruits of my late night keyboard tapping will be posted here if I deem it appropriate. The fact is that I write a lot more than I post, because I write for myself. What I post has been written for others.

Most of my old stuff isn't up to my current standard and won't be posted. Some of it has been deleted for the simple fact that it was written when I was a teenager, and the subject matter was appropriate for a teenager. Looking back at it now, it just seems wrong to be writing that sort of thing. The age difference is too great. The exception will be the comedic pieces, such as My Imaginary Friend, and possibly the (apparently famous) Turnam series, as it's more plot than erotica. Famous or not, a lot of it needs re-writing, and it will probably be awhile until it's re-released.

Dash is Staine's pet project.  It's still in the works, but I don't know whether he'll be posting here.  In fact, I'm not sure if/when/where he'll be posting it at all.  All I know is that he's writing it.

Neph is complete, though in serious need of rewriting.  It's a mammoth project, though.  Remedial English - the next story in the series - has partially complete, but also needs a massive overhaul.  The final chapter is all but written, but there are quite a few between where we started and that point.  The entire cycle is basically on hold for the moment, as we both know how much work it entails.  Since starting the whole cycle we've both started working, I've gotten married, had a daughter, and another kid on the way, and he's gotten engaged.  Big things. smile

If anybody would like to put out some ideas, I'm more than happy to take a look at revisiting My Imaginary Friend.  I loved writing those.  All I need is a scenario, really, or even a single little joke I can turn into a story.  I'm looking at new content now, but work and family life makes progress slow.

hey animus ive been trying to find a copy of neph and dash would you be able to send me a link or somthing so i can read them again i was a huge fan even if dash still isnt finished both stories were great

Wow, it's been ages.  Just a quite note to let everybody know I am, in fact, still alive and still thinking.  Since I've finally got some down-time I've decided to put some of that thinking into action and actually write something.

Yeah, I know.  I'm surprised Eric hasn't pulled my profile by now.  I'm mostly posting this just to make sure I follow through.  Shame is a powerful motivator. smile

Yup, McStories is where I posted originally.  That was long before I found EWP, which became WolfPub.  There's also an old site I created in Notepad (that's how long ago I made it) that's hopefully been erased from human memory.

Why Donate?

You may be wondering why you should bother donating to some guy on the internet that you don't know.

I'm not going to lie: I don't really need donations to keep the site running. The site costs me less than $20 a month. Though donation money does go to pay those bills, the primary need is elsewhere.

I am disabled, and live on a fixed income. I also own an old house that is beginning to have "issues". The appliances inside the home also seem to want to break frequently.

On top of that, I live in a place prone to hurricanes, which not only means worrying about the house falling down every summer, I have to worry about being able to handle evacuations and things like that.

The point is, the donations aren't for the site. They're to keep me fed, clothed, and housed, and also allow me a little bit of discretionary spending, instead of having to watch every dime to make sure I don't go over budget that month.

So What Do I Get for Donating?

Not a goddamned thing. Let me be crystal clear: Making a donation does not entitle you to anything at all. Donations are a gift, not a payment for a service or product.

That being said, I do like to say thank you to those who support me. I usually do that by granting special access to the website. What does "special access" mean? Well, not a whole lot, but it means you have extra file formats to download stories in, and it also gives you access to "PRM" content.

What is PRM content? PRM stands for "Pre-Release Material". It is stuff that you are allowed to read before it goes public. How long before it goes public is up to each author that chooses to participate in the PRM system.
