Re: Avatar Help?

Looks good to me, but usually, scaling large pics down will affect quality. What size is the original?

Re: Avatar Help?

When I re-size and avvy or a sig, I normally just use MSPaint, and use the Image--> Stretch/skew and just use a percentage lower then 100.
Normally that will allow me to slowly bring the avvy or sig to its needed size. Its also helpful, if you need to have a "limit" to the pixel with, to create a new page, just a blank MSPaint page, with that size, to allow you to see what your trying to strive for, so that you can figure out if you want to shrink the picture to that size, and to see what margins you have to work with.

Re: Avatar Help?

Paint would not be my first choice for resizing a picture.  Yes it can be done in a pinch like lordalpha describes but I would recommend installing a "real" photo editor.  If you don't want to spend money I highly recommend GIMP

Re: Avatar Help?

I will concede that fact 3dsmile I do enjoy GIMP, and it works well. I use most of the time, because the resize I need may only be 1-5%, so I dont really loose too much in the way of art or the like. Its also alot easier to explain then gimp to people who dont understand the program, its free, its in almost every Windows PC and most users dont mind the simple to use interface 3dsmile

Think you might be able to create a banner and logo for one of my sites?
