Great, so all we have to do is grow three more fingers, and the world will be a perfect and happy place?

Update for July 13, 2020:
The Woodward Academy, Year 8, Chapter 15, is finished, and is with the reviewers.
The Woodward Academy, Year 8, is finished.
The Woodward Academy series is finished.
And, most likely, my 40-day writing streak is finished.

Eric I would expect a break in fact I suggest a destressor trip or activity, something you enjoy or have been putting off. I know from the loss of your spouse your own health issues you could use one. We will read what you have written and patiently wait till you have wound down buddy. My many thanks for your talent and willingness to share

Hah. Wish there was such a thing. I can't take trips, and those activities I can do, I do. Writing IS my de-stresser.

When do you start working on WAY9? KIDDING! I'M JUST KIDDING!!
Congratulations on finishing the WA series. I knew a writer who used a unique motivation technique to ensure he finished by his deadline. He would write a $1,000 check to the presidential candidate he despised the most on the condition that it would get sent if he didn’t finish the book by the deadline. He never missed a deadline. Glad you didn't have to sink to such tactics.
Hopefully, you can now take a few well deserved deep breaths.

Well, I would, but in Florida, in July, that's a good way to drown.

I’d presume you were going for humor mixed with reality. My grandmother used to tell me that it can happen.

The humidity in Florida, in the summer, can approach full saturation on the worst days. Even on "good" days, 70% is not abnormal.

Or two more fingers and lose our pants (at least for guys).

See, now that would be sexist, basing a system on men's bodies only. And if we're going to do something along those lines, then we only need to grow one more finger, and let women go topless!

I vote for topless women!!!

Just wanted to say congrats on finishing.

Fantastic idea. I bow to the superior imagination.

Are you going to release them one at a time each month or all together when reviewed? Thanks for such a great series!

You've been here long enough to already know the answer to this question. I do not post chapters more quickly than once a month for anything.

Congratulations on finishing this wonderful tale of a half-ghost wizard on his journey into madness! I am very excited to read these last chapters

So I have to ask... now that Woodward Academy is in your rear view mirror and a minute has passed, do you miss it? Do you still dream potential plot points? Are the characters still alive in your mind?
Just curious...

There are still things I'd like to have written, would like to write. Their story didn't end, only the books did. I have never - and will not now - rule out the notion of a set of short stories that might cover events later in David's life. Of course, I have not, and will not now, guarantee that will happen, either.
One way or another, either through a story, or just in a forum post, one of these days I will tell you what David's ultimate fate is. (Yes, I know what that is.)
Eric Storm
PS: Unless, of course, I die unexpectedly. Then you're screwed.

Well, I don't know how Book 8 ends but I've always assumed Davids post-WA years would be spent as part of a throuple with Harry and Ginevra (aka Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley).

I said "ultimate" fate.

Not big enough... Grand Emperor David (and add any of those superfluous titles here like "Protector of the relm, shield of the seven kingdoms" and all that jazz)
Or you can go the other route - old guy that lives at the end of a LONG creepy road and driveway that just wants to be left alone. Considering what he is, he has no need for pesky human needs like a working door or food - so that could drive some fun spooky campfire story's ðŸ˜

Royalty of any kind will not fit David--perhaps you might make a case for some kind of ultimate leader but even the most hands off type would not work unless David went totally dark. Even then I see a nomad type punisher Is far more likely. The type who does not recognize any authority or moral code
