Rosenjack

Not bad. Not bad at all. My one critique is that there is no summary. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started.

That is definitely a serious problem that the author needs to address.  Without a story description, how is anyone expected to know whether the story is something that will interest them?  And the default position of most people (unlike Skyscraper, apparently... ) will be to pass the story by in an effort to not waste their time.

I understand the feeling. When I first became a contributor, I felt a little lost too. I have a hang of it now. At least you haven't managed to break the site in any way. I managed to find a way to upload a PDF file. There is a message now at the bottom of the "add item" page that says "If the file is acceptable (and there's just a glitch in the system), your contribution will be posted ASAP."

I do believe that I am the reason for that addition of 'glitch in the system'. That parenthesis didn't exist before I uploaded Rodeo for the first time. 0
That's probably my biggest contribution to the site.

Not having a story description isn't that bad as long as it's corrected. I went even further and forgot to add a title. Something I corrected, when Eric pointed out my grievous misdeed. Just downloaded the story, so I have no other comments to add.

In fairness, had I designed the site correctly, lo those eons ago, you wouldn't have been able to post a story without either of those things.

So, that's it? While the story was good and held my interest, don't tell me you are one of those authors that make your readers screaming for more. YOU CANNOT END THIS HERE!

Do not like the words "The End". Please reconsider to further the story of Brent (Jack).

Dadrepus, I owe you genuine gratitude. Thank you many many times over for your praise. I have wanted to write something else for a long time now, but the muse has been gone for so long, and the depression just keeps her away. Your encouragement in asking for more of Rose and Jack is exactly the kind of lure I need to encourage me to keep trying. One of my favorite author quotes, from Neil Gaiman, runs like this: “…the four words that anyone telling a story wants to hear, the ones that show that it's working and that pages will be turned; ‘and then what happened?’  Let’s try to find out together.  THANK YOU.

Thank you for writing and sharing this.  I appreciate the almost paternal care and concern Jack/Brent expressed for Rose.  He was very sensitive and didn't come off as aggressive or taking advantage. Like I said paternal, fatherly. This was a great read... I loved the relationship between Brent and Rose.  The weird part is that I felt some sort of unwarranted jealousy on behalf of Rose.  I legit felt jealous that Jack was had become intimate with Marjorie even though it was fine with Rose. I wanted for them to be exclusive.  I also like that you didn't include any major descriptors of the characters so that I was free to imagine in my head what they look like. You're very talented, and I look forward to reading your other two stories!  Thank you writing from such a realistic perspective and making this into a love story between two likeable, deserving characters.
