Update for October 30, 2024:

Agent of Change, Chapter 31, has finally been started.

Misfits, Chapter 2 will be posted on the 1st of November.

Update for December 5, 2024:

Misfits, Chapter 3: Mom at the Movies, has been posted to PRM.

Sorry that this one is late.  The reviewers took forever, and then I ran into a last-minute plot decision dilemma that had to be resolved before posting this chapter (as I might have had to remove scenes).

In any case, here's the next chapter of Misfits.  Chapter 4 will be out sometime around January 1st.

If you're wondering about Agent of Change, I'm working through a planning stage with the story right now.  It's taking a while, but hopefully when I'm done, I'll be able to just write straight through for a couple chapters, at least.

Just to mention some other things still on my mind, I have begun Tempest of the Flames, which is the fourth and final story in the Tempest of the Flames series.  Unlike parts 1 - 3, TotF will be a three-chapter novella, instead of a short story.  Also, I'm still planning out the next parts of Where the Brontosaurs Roam.  Yes, I know it has been literally years since a chapter has gotten released.  My muses have been rather lackadaisical lately.

As to the holidays, they will go neither well nor poorly for me.  At this point in my life, Christmas is pretty much dead.  Not that I dislike it, but I no longer feel any "spirit" for the holiday.  I don't decorate, I don't send out cards, I don't have anyone to give gifts to.

My mother's passing in 1991 took probably 2/3 of my "spirit of Christmas", as it was "her" holiday.  She loved it and she went all out with the decorations and the cookies and all that.

Keeshaba's passing in 2019 pretty well took the other 1/3.  Christmas was her second-favorite holiday (behind Halloween), and we did as much as we could afford to celebrate together.

Sad as this may sound, it's actually an improvement on how I felt during the holidays of the early 90's, when Christmas still reminded me rather sharply of my mother's passing, and often left me deeply depressed.  Now, December is just the month on the way to January.

I know, no one wanted to read all that.  Tough shit, it's my website.

My sympathies.  That would truly put a dark pall over the holiday for some time, if not permanently.

I hope that your condition improves soon.

Good morning Eric, I know it's pretty taboo to reach out and see about the status of a story, But I was genuinely curious how the planning and writing was going with the planning stage from back in December. I am very curious as to how the rest of the story plays out, I day dream about different outcomes from an uneducated person's mind, so am excited to see how the story develops from the love and care you have with the stories.

Update for March 18, 2025:

Agent of Change, Chapter 31, has been completed, and is with the reviewers.  Given that I have established the 1st as a Misfits release day, I'm not sure when I will release this chapter.  Eventually, that's for sure.

I appreciate the thought.  The problems come and go.  I'm not feeling very well physically, either, which just makes everything worse.

Still, I will plod along as best I can.

Misfits, Chapter 7: Rescuing Renata, has been posted to PRM.
Misfits, Chapter 1: Endings, has been made public.

Sorry it took so long to get this chapter out.  The influx of new authors and readers threw me for a loop, and then I wasn't feeling well, and then the doctor gave me some meds that threw me for another loop.

Look for me to release the next chapter of Agent of Change on or about the 15th.  This time, I'm not committing to a particular month!
