Storiesonline

Presumably, due to some government being assholes and worrying about fictional children and teenagers, Lazeez over at Storiesonline has announced that any stories with any of the following tags: Mf, mf, mF, mm, ff will be removed or will need to be changed to meet the new rules. From what he says, it's not the government specifically. From the way it reads, it sounds like the government is pushing his internet provider to force it's users to follow the new rules. They're not being removed immediately but.... Which means, soon, a lot of my stories will ONLY be available here on The Pub.

Thank you, Eric.

PS: It's strange, isn't it? They're worried about people having sex with teenagers but they let Stephen King novels remain on the shelf. King slaughters DOZENS of teenagers just in his book/Movie "Carrie" alone.

Darn it!! While Biden was in office, I could be a "Great and powerful Cave dragon!" Guess I'll have to go back to being just an ordinary guy now.

Re: Storiesonline

None of our obsession with "protecting" kids from sex makes any sense.

While Lazeez' problem apparently is coming from his hosting provider, I need to let people know that I live in Florida.  Florida just passed an age verification law that, depending on how you read the law, I either am or am not subject to.  I don't think it applies to this site, because it specifically mentions a "commercial entity", which this is not, it's just some perv on the internet letting you read stories.

That said, I am considering ways to make myself safer running this site.  I will not close this site unless I feel I have no other choice to avoid legal trouble.  There may come a time, however, when it is a less user-friendly experience, by necessity.  I'm not saying that's going to happen, I'm just warning you that unpleasant changes could be coming in the future.

My content policy will not change without a threat from the government, however.

Re: Storiesonline

I'm glad to hear that, Eric. Your putting yourself at, however slight, risk is appreciated.

Text has never been illegal except for the (general) obscenity laws, but public opinion shifts over time and, regarding children in porn, it's been in one direction since the nineteenth century. A lot of that is good and necessary but our art harms nobody.

I notice sexstories69 has quietly dropped their #tween tag in the last few days. The quality of the stories was mostly execrable but that's another site gone.

Re: Storiesonline

I happen to be a sexstories69 refugee who had 3 stories posted there that were... TERMINATED!
Glad I found this place. Thanks Eric for being a true Freedom of Speech Patriot.

I'll be doing some story editing and posting here soon. Also have several more stories in the works.
Wish I was retired to write full time.
