kallisex, you might want to check with Eric to see what's going on, but somehow you've managed to get "Sick Day" and "Fever Dreams" available to all but they are after "Mowing the Lawn" which is still tagged 'PRM', so anyone trying to use the 'Next Chapter' button won't be able to beyond "Over the Phone".

My PRMs have been messy lately, which is why I was asking about what time zone the Pub is in. There was only one day left, so I went ahead and made 'mowing the lawn' public, which should fix it.

Not to get too technical, but PRMs are timestamped, not just dated. By which, I mean that it doesn't say, "This is PRM until July 9, 2026", it says, "This is PRM until Unix Timestamp 1783633830." So the time zone of the site would make no difference.

But it doesn't tell me the timestamps, only how many days there are left in PRM, dear. So, if I add a new chapter and set the number of days to the same as the previous one, sometimes it becomes a different day because the posting time is earlier or later in the day.

Now, I haven't looked at this code in literally years - MANY years - but if I recall correctly, if you post a file for, say, 30 days PRM now, and then another one for 30 days PRM two hours from now... Those two chapters should go public, in order, two hours apart. Are you saying that's not what's happening?

I would put in a story, add another story sometime the next day, so that both would say 8 days later. Then later that day, the second story would say eight and the first 7, so I'd adjust so they'd both come out 'the same day,' but now the second one would shift and be a day earlier based on when the time of the website was when I changed the day. It's not a massive problem, especially if I'm not posting every day, but it was discomfitting.

Yes, this is simply a consequence of the fact that it doesn't switch over at the start of the day, but at a specific time within the day. If you post one at 1pm and the other at 9pm, then their "days until public" are going to change at 1pm and 9pm respectively, not at midnight. So, for some portion of the day, they're going to be different. If you manually change them to force them to match again, then they're going to be different at some other time of day. This is an inevitable consequence of using timestamps instead of dates. If you just leave them alone, they will go public on the same day, just at different times.
